I
As some of you know, I am a member of the PPO (Professional Photographers of Ontario) and I'm in the executive committee of the Hamilton/Niagara Branch of the PPO. Every couple of months we organize workshops and seminars for photographers (ourselves included, of course) to attend, and learn from other's like us in the photography industry. It's a great way to stay connected and up-to-date with the latest trends.
This month we decided to do something a little different, so we had our first ever "Photo Safari"! We had 3 beautiful models, hair and make-up artists and 12-15 photographers. We found some hot little spots in Downtown Hamilton where we took the models and all the photographers to, and we all did some fun and creative shooting. Here is a small sample of what I came up with on our first Photo Safari...

Meeting the Creative Collective has helped me understand this small group of entrepreneurs, how they work and how this union is going to make such a difference in for local businesses. I absolutely love their work and what they do. Four local companies: a photographer, a writer, video producers, and creative marketers, have bonded together to form the Creative Collective. An organization that strives to extend themselves within, throughout and beyond their own community. As a group, they focus on benefiting other companies, helping them develop a look and style that speaks out. All their services are connected and available to clients as a whole or separately. If you want to find out more about them, you can check out their new website: www.thecreativecollective.ca

Another exciting day at the studio, spending it with Jacquie, Shirley and boxes filled with masses of handbags. We had a lot of laughs during our product shoot and came to know Jacquie and her mother Shirley who got together to start the Luvali Convertibles handbag line. We all thought it was such a brilliant idea to have interchangeable handbag covers. They come in a variety of sizes and suit however you feel that day, whether it be cool, funky, sophisticated, or bold, and the bare look is always safe to match just about anything!
