This summer I managed to get out a few times to visit family and friends and even spent a week in Blue Mountain, Ontario. It was very hard to leave there, as the beaches of Georgian Bay are stunning! I also got the opportunity to shoot outdoors a lot and using natural light has always been my favorite. One of the problems I used to have with shooting on location outdoors was lugging around my gear. I have my rolling suitcase, which is great to carry all my gear in "civilization", but when I’m trekking through the woods and fields I need something a little more portable and light. So now I have a Lowepro Slingshot 350! It has room for all my essentials yet not too big that it's heavy or awkward. The shoulder strap allows me to swing it around to the front for easy access. I can reach all my gear without having to even take it off! Love that!! And when the pack is in front of me, it acts as a table if I need a steady hand. And when I’m done, I just swing it back around.

A new little girl
Say hello to Lily, a new little addition to our world! As cute and cuddly as she is, it almost makes you want to have another one…! She has a ‘little big-brother’ who is so gentle and careful around her, it seems as though they will grow to be great friends. What fun it is to photograph someone so sweet and warm. Welcome home, Lily!

Baby Gabriel
This baby's wonderful parents have been my clients since they hired me to photograph their wedding back in 2007, and 2 babies ago (that could be a measurement of time!!) And ever since then I have seen their family grow and have been photographing them about every 6 months. What a treat to be a part of their childhood and watch them become little people and evolve into whoever they will be! And for them, 20 years from now, they will look back at all these photos and it's going to be like finding a treasure every time they see them... These are the things that make my job so special.

Ann & Mike's Wedding
I just recently photographed my friends Ann & Mike's wedding. It's always fun when you get to document a wedding in which you know many of the guests and wedding party. It was a beautiful wedding, great people (even the ones I didn't know), amazing food, and a wonderful bride and groom! Needless to say, I had a great time! Thank You Ann & Mike for letting me be a part of your wedding day!!
JUST MARRIED!!!!!
The Flower Girl! Who did a wonderful job walking down the aisle!!
This is me (all dishevelled after a day of non-stop shooting) with the beautiful bride!!

Charity Portrait Day
Everyone deserves something special.
Its time to help.... we are a group of Hamilton based photographers with studios that are being opened to the public for a charitable fundraiser on December 12th. Each photographer has volunteered their time to shoot some great portraits of you and your family and friends.
The concept is simple:
On December 12th, for a small donation $30, you and your family can come in for a 20 minute mini session. The money raised is being donated to a local Hamilton Charity for people in need.
What's included:
From the session we will provide you with one (1) 8x12 portrait which you will receive shortly after the 12th.
You can choose to purchase additional prints if you wish. 25% of all print profits will also be donated to the same Hamilton charity.
There's a Bonus....
Each family will receive a gift bag that contains a variety of products from Canada's leading consumer packaged goods producers... Things you need around your house. The retail value will exceed the donation fee. This is a "Thank You" for your participation.
Details:
You should arrive 15 minutes prior to your session.
You will receive a confirmation for your session via email with the time you are required to be at the studio for your shoot, directions and other related information.
Next Steps:
Call or email me to book your session time and set it aside in your calendar.
Tell your friends and family to book their session.
No excuses... its time to Help.
Bookings for Dec 12th are first call, first booked. Starting @ 9:30 am and extending into the late evening.

Rockwood
My brother and his kids came down from Quebec this month, so we (my sister and her kids too) decided to take a little day-trip out to Rockwood Conservation Area which is in the town of Rockwood (go figure) near Guelph, Ontario. It is a beautiful place, surrounded by cliffs, trees, caves, trails and so much more. Every time I go there I feel like I'm in a different land, it's amazing. Well, here are a few shots from our little adventure.

Rebecca & Jory's wedding
This past weekend I got a chance to photograph my nephew's (and now new niece's) wedding! It was an awesome day and a beautiful wedding. I'm super excited about the photos. It was a blast having all the family there and getting to meet Rebecca's family as well. And my kids got to be the ring bearers... how cute was that! Here's a sneak peak of Rebecca and Jory's wedding.
